What's the difference? When you authenticate with OAuth, the bot gets the official Chat Bot Badge in your channel and appears under "Chat Bots" in your viewer list. This is Twitch's way of recognizing legitimate bots and gives you access to enhanced features.

Important Note
By default, the bot commands only work in channels where the stream is offline. Use the ?enableonline command under system commands to enable commands during live streams.
